Charles Sobe Umeh

The Plan

Accountable, Accessible, Advocating for You!

Charles Umeh for City Councillor (Regina, Ward 4)

My priorities are clear:

  1. Neighbourhood Care & Infrastructure: As your neighbour, I also feel the pains of late snow removal, inefficient garbage disposal, bad roads and poor public transit. I’m committed to ensuring Timely & Efficient Snow Removal, and Garbage Disposal. I’m committed to advocating for city council to prioritize our roads, sidewalks and community facilities maintenance to improve our quality of life. I will also work with our local law enforcement to ensure that speed limits, and other city bylaws are adequately enforced so as to keep Ward 4 clean, healthy and safe – a place we will all be proud to call home.
  2. Safer Neighborhood: The continuous rise in property crimes in ward 4 especially in the Greens area is unacceptable. Everyone in Ward 4 should feel safe on their streets, in their homes, schools and even in their workplaces. I will work closely with our Regina police force and community organizations to improve public safety through both pre-emptive measures and responsive actions. I will work with council to ensure our police force is well funded so as to put more booths on ground. I will also work with the police chief to introduce and promote community policing in our community.
  1. Freeze Taxes: The cost of living is still out of control. The city shouldn’t be raising taxes for pet projects that we cannot afford. I’ll fight for a tax freeze, eliminate waste in city spending, and invest in essential services so you can put more money in your pockets.

  2. Vibrancy & Economic Growth: Regina has the potential to be a commercially driven & welcoming city. With Ward 4, possessing a strong, multicultural communities and entrepreneurial spirit, we ought to lead the way. With over a decade of experience and as a local business owner, I’ll advocate for policies that will promote strong public-private partnerships to boost SMEs, grow local businesses, support cultural activities, create jobs, and drive prosperity for everyone.

It’s time to clean up the mess! Time for a positive change, time to get back to basics, and we have the right common-sense candidate for the job – Charles Umeh!

A committed community leader who appreciates the challenges we face. Charles has a clear vision for a brighter future and his dedication to improving our community is unwavering.
